Enjoy a fun and relaxing day exploring the charming town of Young, one of NSW’s renowned cherry-growing regions. Spend 2 hours cherry picking at a local Young orchard, where you can experience the joy of picking fresh, seasonal cherries straight from the trees.

Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore the township of Young, with time to grab lunch (lunch not included), browse the local shops and soak up the relaxed country atmosphere.

Complete your day with a visit to the Chinese Tribute Gardens, a beautiful garden celebrating Young’s rich Chinese heritage and the important contribution of Chinese settlers to the region.

Canberra Pickup

We offer three convenient pickup locations across Canberra: Woden Interchange (Platform 6), Civic Square (near Canberra Museum and Gallery), and Dickson Interchange (Platform 2). Please arrive 10–15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth and timely departure.

10:00am

Arrive at Allambie Orchard

Spend 2 hours exploring Allambie Orchard and enjoy the experience of picking your own fresh cherries. Cherries picked from the orchard are available for $10 per kg*. There is also an on-site café where you can purchase ice cream, cakes and other refreshments. All food and purchases are at your own expense.

12:30pm

Lunch at Young

Enjoy 1 hour and 15 minutes of free time to explore Young and choose your own lunch at one of the local cafés, pubs, restaurants or takeaway outlets. Lunch is at your own expense. While exploring the town, don’t forget to stop by the famous Cherry Sign for a great photo opportunity!

2:00pm

Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Garden

Enjoy 1 hour exploring the gardens, followed by a final toilet break before heading back to Canberra.

5:00pm - 5:30pm

Canberra Drop Off

Arrive back in Canberra and return to the same pickup locations, concluding your cherry-picking adventure.
