Apple & Persimmon Picking Tour

The air is cooling and the apples are ripening! It’s Apple & Persimmon Picking Season! Grab your friends & family and join us on our Apple/Persimmon Picking Day Trip from Sydney CBD or Parramatta! The perfect way to enjoy a day of fruit picking from Sydney and it’s only 1.5 hours outside the city! On this day trip we’ll head out to a small town called Bilpin. Here you will have the opportunity to stroll through the magnificent orchard to find the perfect Apple or Persimmon to pick. Guest are welcome to purchase your picked Apples for a discounted price of $6 per kg and your Persimmon for $10 per kg. Once you’ve picked the perfect bunch of sweet Apples and Persimmons, we will head down to the local brewery to sample Apple Ciders (apple ciders are included). At this stop, you will have a chance to buy their famous wood fire pizzas for lunch (no BYO lunch) while sampling their Apple Ciders. After lunch, we’ll make our way to The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah. Exploring the 252 hectares of land with 28 hectares open to the public including over 6,000 plants species.

Haymarket Pickup
City Pickup is located at 24 Rawson Place, Haymarket. Stand in front of Service NSW at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
8:05am
Parramatta Pickup
City Pickup is located on the corner of Argyle Street & Church Street, Parramatta (near LAB cafe). Please stand in front of Westfield main entrance at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
9:30am
Apple & Persimmon Picking
Our first stop for this trip will be located in Bilpin for Apple & Persimmon Picking. 1 hour and 45 minutes will be provided for this particular stop.
11:30am
Hill Billy Cider Shed (Lunch)
After Apple and Persimmon Picking, we will have an early lunch at the HillBilly Cider Shed for a tasty wood-fired oven pizza (food at your own cost). Glasses of Apple Cider will be provided with your meal. 1 hour and 30 minutes will be provided for this particular stop.
1:30pm
Blue Mountains Botanic Garden
Enjoy a nice walk through the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden and witness a showcase of local and imported cool climate plants and alpine rainforest. After this stop, we will make our way back into Sydney. 1 hour and 15 minutes will be provided for this particular stop.

We had a great day on the apple picking bus tour. Then lunch at the Hillbilly Cider. Was very good price for what we got. The wood fire pizzas were delicious and also had 4 ciders taste testing for free. Highly recommend this tour

A great tour today with Erick and Luke out at Bilpin for apple and persimmon picking. We got there early and avoided the big crowds that came as we were leaving. Headed over to Hillbilly Cider for some delicious beverages, then wandered through Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. 10/10 - cost is super accessible, transport safe and functional and on time pick up and drop off. Thanks for a great day out of Sydney.

Over the past 3 years or so I have been on (I think) 8 or 9 tours hosted by Ozia, and asides from the great value, the tours have all been sensational days and experiences. I already have my next one booked in and will almost certainly be doing the cherry picking and Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas lights again this year. Eric and Luke are amazing hosts (and whilst some tourists have an lack of understanding when it comes to time management) they keep us all on time being able to get to each of the stop on time for each location. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking at doing some day trips around NSW.
